Romantic and Poised Ballet Stationery
There’s always been something about ballet that has fascinated me. I’ve watched hours of dance documentaries and videos, and love observing how the dancer’s strength combines with grace and movement. These themes were the main inspiration for me when I was working details out.
The main staple of this suite was the layered ballet illustrations. Drawn directly from observing ballet dancers, they were the centerpiece in which I built everything else around. The main invitation uses a delicate and balanced full calligraphy layout, supported by simple and elegant embellishments.
In addition to the stationery suite, we also designed matching vows and a day-of program. Both brought back themes from the invitation, whether it was the pale metallic ink or a different variation of the dancer illustrations.
This soft pink color palette wasn’t a new one for me, but it was utilized in such a unique way throughout the event. The shades of dusty rose envelopes and blush champagne wax seal paired so beautifully with the color variations in the florals, chiffon table runner, and even the bride’s personal ballet slippers.
